Get Noticed: Network with Headhunters

For mid-senior level managers, building a strong network with headhunters is a crucial part of their job search strategy, and here is why.

At higher levels, many roles are never advertised on LinkedIn or other platforms.

Instead, companies rely on headhunters to discreetly fill these positions.

Headhunters often avoid public postings—either due to confidentiality or to save time.

Sorting through hundreds of applications (with 90% being irrelevant) is inefficient. Therefore they reach out directly to candidates in their network.

You’ll be the first to hear about valuable opportunities if you’re already in a Headhunter’s network.

For mid-senior level managers, the job search goes beyond securing job interviews. It’s more about having coffee chats and introductory meetings with Headhunters in your industry.

Here’s a real example: recently, my clients—a General Manager and a CFO—each had multiple introductory meetings with headhunters. These conversations will put them ahead of those waiting for publicly announced roles on LinkedIn.

Make networking with Headhunters a priority, and have an advantage in today’s competitive job market.
